On February 23, 2019, under the care of Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durres and All Albania at the Amphitheater of the Cultural Center of the Resurrection of Christ Cathedral Complex, a Symposium was held on “Collaborating with the Spirit of Love in our School Programs”. The symposium was organized by the Spirit of Love Foundation of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania directed under the Executive Director Mrs. Pamela Baksdale and was attended by 170 teachers from three 9-year schools and five high schools raised by this foundation.

In his greeting speech, His Beatitude, Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania recalls that starting from the first years of the revival of the Orthodox Church, a special role has been paid to create the infrastructure for an education system, as a cornerstone in the education of the young generation. He also addressed to the teachers in the hall, by thanking them for their continuous contribution to this work of the church, where they have also put their hearts. Further on, His Beatitude emphasised that we should aim for the children in these schools not only to learn, but also to be people of virtue, aware that they should contribute to the progress of the country.
