ARCHBISHOP ANASTASIOS - HONORARY DOCTOR OF WARSAW CHRISTIAN ACADEMY


With the message that "The mission and responsibility of the Church is to connect humanity to the true God of Love," the Archbishop of Albania concluded his speech entitled "Living in Christ in the multfaith global community". Anastasios, Honorary Professor of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and Honorary Member of the Academy of Athens, during his appointment as Honorary Doctor of the Christian Theological Academy of Warsaw.

In the packed ceremony hall of the Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw, in the presence of religious, political and diplomatic authorities, the Council, professors and students of the Academy, at noon on Thursday, October 6, 2022 the Arch bishop of Tirana, Durrachio and all of Albania, Mr. Anastasios was awarded Honorary Doctor of this Highness InterChristian Educational Institution, following an introduction by the Late Archbishop of Warsaw Mr. Savva and the unanimous decision of the Parliament. The Christian Theological Academy was founded by the state in 1954 and originated from the merger of the individual theological departments of Lutheran, Orthodox, and Old Catholics.

During the official ceremony, after the speeches of the Dean of the Academy Archbishop Wrocław and Szczecin, Professor Mr. Jerzy Pankowski, the reading of the eulogy of the honorable composed by the Sev Academy partner. Metropolitan Bishop of Kitros Professor Mr. George and the awarding of the distinguished badges, Archbishop Mr. Anastasios, already an Honorary Doctor of Multiple Departments of Humanities, Social and Positive Direction from 27 Universities of European Countries, M. East and the West P. S. A. , he developed the theme: "Living in Christ in the multi-faith global community."

In his speech Mr. Anastasios said, among other things, that Christians' views on diverse religious beliefs present serious deviations and theories formulated over the centuries present a wide range of completely negative opinions as a complete defeat. Noting that in recent systematic religious research in many religions certain ethical principles of universal prestige have been highlighted, he underlined that: "Religious experience is not limited to moral values. It relies mainly on a personal torque towards the Transcendental. Religion is a complex and versatile set of glories, beliefs, experiences, and principles of behavior that are related to the Holy, Holy and influence human being and society."

Also about the Christians' attitude in modern society they concluded: "To be in God remains," "to live in Christ" defines the Christian experience. It is a relationship with the real Being, a personal relationship of love with the One who is Love. Those of us who live in a multfaithful world community, while respecting the liberty of every human person and striving for peaceful coexistence, let us not forget that His disciples should be “the light of the world” (Matt. 5:14)..... "
