PhD. Pavlos Symeonidis
Biografia:
Mr. Symeonidis has been working with computers since he was 12 years old. His fascination with the subject has driven him towards obtaining a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science. In 2006 he obtained a PhD entitled “Automated Assessment of Java Programming Coursework for Computer Science Education” at the University of Nottingham. Mr. Symeonidis has made publicly available his research and academic interests in CS education in the form of published papers in several educational conferences and journals.
Mr. Symeonidis has been lecturing Java training courses to the academia and the industry for over 20 years and is the author of two Java Programming courses taught by the University of Nottingham to Computer Science undergraduate students. To date he has worked on a variety of commercial and educational projects including Interactive Classroom Explorer and Nelson-Thorne’s Cursive Handwriting. He was the principal designer and developer of the marking system for CourseMarker, the worldwide leading Computer Based Assessment software system for computer programs. In June2015, he has successfully deployed the first Greek Urban Green Management System for the Municipality of Thessaloniki entitled “GreenTree”, a system which he has single-handedly designed and developed.
Mr. Symeonidis has also extensive experience in designing databases (DBs), especially lexicographical ones, in a multitude of environments (Dbase, Access, MySQL) such as:
