PhD Georgois Gaitanos
Short Bio:
Dr. Georgios Gaitanos works as a Lecturer of Religious Studies and he is the head of the Faculty of Social Theology and Science of Religion of College Logos University, Tirana. He has studied Theology, Study of Religion and Social Anthropology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Counseling at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education (Aspete). His doctorate thesis is about the theory of the study of religion according to Jonathan Zittel Smith and his post-doc research was about the meaning of the term religion on Early Christian Literature.
At the moment he is working on several research programs of the Faculty of Theology via the Research Committee of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His main academic interest is the theory of religious studies and specializes in researching new categories in the Study of Religion. In addition, he studies on contemporary subjects that give ideas for new taxonomic categories and re-shape the public opinion about religion.
His latest publications concern the new perspectives on the academic study of religion, the creation of new categories on the study of religions during the Late Antiquity, a handbook on the History of World Religions and a guideline on preparation of scientific research.

Metropolitan of Achaias Professor Athanasios Chatzopoulos
Short Bio:
Metropolitan of Achaia, Mr. Athanasios Hatzopoulos, was born in Athens on October 17, 1950, where he completed his general studies at Gymnasium II (for Boys) in Athens. He graduated from the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies of the Philosophical University of the University of Athens (1972) and the Theological University of the same University (1976).
Then, in 1976, he received a scholarship from the Pontifical Commission for Christian Unity and studied at the Institute of Oriental Studies in Rome, from which, in 1978, he received a master's degree (Licenza) with the grade of Excellence (Summa cum laude). After a year, he studied at the Sorbonne and received his doctorate specializing in the Greek Patristic Tradition from the University of Oxford in 1984.
Between 1983-1994 he worked at the National Library of Greece as a manuscript corrector. For years, he taught as a professor of theology and philology at the German University of Athens. From 1994-1997, he was a professor at the Ecumenical Institute of Bossey and from 1997-2000 a professor at the Orthodox Institute for Postgraduate Studies in Chambesy, Geneva.
At the same time, he was a visiting professor, from 1997 - 2000, at the Swiss Universities of Friborg and Geneva. He also taught during the years 1993-1994 at the Orthodox Theological Academy of Albania. He has written and published articles and scientific studies including: "Two outstanding cases of Byzantine Spirituality: the Macarian Homilies and Symeon the New Theologian".
At the same time, he was a visiting professor, from 1997 - 2000, at the Swiss Universities of Friborg and Geneva. He also taught during the years 1993-1994 at the Orthodox Theological Academy of Albania. He has written and published articles and scientific studies including: "Two outstanding cases of Byzantine Spirituality: the Macarian Homilies and Symeon the New Theologian".
The Holy Synod of the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece, in the meeting that took place on October 13, 2000, elected Archimandrite Mr. Athanasios Hatzopoulos as Auxiliary Bishop of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, giving him the title of the then excellent Episcopate of Achaia and appointed him Director of the Office of the Delegation of the Church of Greece to the European Union. On October 15, 2000, he was ordained a bishop.

PhD Jeffrey MacDonald
Short Bio:
Dr. Macdonald teaches Church History and Patristics at Logos University. He was previously Professor of Church History and Old Testament at St. Herman's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Kodiak, Alaska.
He studied Early Christian Studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC, and Orthodox Theology at St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in New York, and Biblical Studies and Near Eastern Archeology at Wheaton College in Illinois.
His research has focused on the Christology of the Ecumenical Synods and the Church's response to Medieval scholasticism.

MSc. Thoma Çomëni
Short Bio:
Thoma Çomëni was born in Berat on July 4, 1975. He finished his high school studies at the united high school "Sali Gjuka" in the town of Ura-Vajgurore, Dimal Municipality. He then continued his studies at the Hieratic Seminary in Durrës during the years 1993-1996. He continued his studies in theology at the Theological Faculty of Aristotelio University in Thessaloniki during the years 1999-2004. Postgraduate studies, Master in the field of Pimantics during the years 2010-2013, at the same University. Teacher of the New Testament and Ethics for 14 years at the Theological Academy "Resurrection of Christ" in Saint Vlash, Durrës. From 2018 until today, he is an assistant lecturer in the Department of Theology and Culture, Faculty of Humanities and Linguistic Communication at Logos University College. Research areas are Pimantics (Pastoral Care) and Ethics. He is also an article writer and referent on theological-ethical topics in various conferences. Alongside teaching, he is engaged in the role of preacher of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.. And he is also leader and co-leader in several summer camps organized by the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania. Very good knowledge of the Greek language and good knowledge of the English language.

Motër Rakela
Biografia:
Nun Rachel (Anila Dervishi), MSc, was born on October 2nd, 1977, in Prrenjas, Albania. Nun Rachel completed her secondary education at Ptoleme Xhuvani and Dhaskal Todri high school in Elbasan. She earned her degree in Theology from the Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2005 followed by a Master's degree in Bible Studies in 2016 from the same institution. In 2011, she took her vows at the Monastery of the Holy Innocent in Oinoi, Attikis, Greece, before joining the Monastery of the Holy Myrrhbearing Women in Saint Vlasios, Durres.
With over a decade of academic and religious service, Nun Rachel served as a lecturer at the Byzantine Music School in Tirana for two years. Since 2018, she has been a lecturer in Bible Studies at the Department of Theology and Culture at College University Logos. She speaks Albanian, Greek, English, and Italian.
